Student Handbook
Students, Parents, and Guardians,
On behalf of our entire educational community, welcome to LaSalle Springs Middle School. We are thrilled to have you join us for an exciting and enriching academic journey.
Middle school can be a time of both excitement and uncertainty as students navigate new academic challenges, explore interests, and discover their unique talents. At LaSalle Springs Middle School, we are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment where all students thrive in pursuit of their full potential. Serving students in grades six through eight, LaSalle Springs Middle School has a strong tradition of academic excellence and character development.
Our passionate and dedicated teachers guide students through a rigorous curriculum aimed at ensuring students experience success in the classroom and life. Our teachers are committed to delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and develop effective communication skills. At LaSalle Springs Middle School, we believe in every student, meet them where they are at, and never give up on them.
As evidenced in our mission statement, “Learning together. Leading together. Serving together.,” we believe that a well-rounded education extends beyond academic programming. In fact, LaSalle Springs Middle has been recognized as a Missouri and National School of Character since 2003. Referred to as P.R.I.D.E., our universal expectations are built around five character traits that are highly valued within our educational community: Proactivity, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Engagement. We offer a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs that allow students to explore their passions and connect with others. Whether you're interested in athletics, arts, or community service, everyone belongs at LaSalle Springs Middle School.
We recognize that parents play a vital role in their children's education. We encourage you to stay involved in your child's school life by attending our parent-teacher conferences, volunteering for school events, joining our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), and communicating regularly with your child's teachers.
Together, we can create a positive and productive learning environment for all students. We are committed to working with you to ensure that your child has a successful and memorable middle school experience.
Sincerely,
Chris Colgren, Ph.D.
Principal, LaSalle Springs Middle School
